The V.I.P.s - Our VERY IMPORTANT PARENTS !!!
The VIP’s are a fabulous group of parents who volunteer their time for the children of CIS. They often give of their time and talents to help make CIS the wonderful place that it is – it could be reading to or with children, helping to organize special days and events, leading school tours, helping teachers prepare crafts or other activities – the list of amazing contributions that our parents continually make goes on and on!
Since this is a private school and we do not have a formal parent council group, we have also come to count on these involved and contributing parents as a ‘sounding board’ and informal advisory group to the administration here at CIS. They have been invaluable to the school in both their volunteering and informal advisory capacities!
When the school first created and coined the name of this group of parents, it was a recognition of the fact that we value our parents and the important role that they play in the education of our students – and so the name VIPs (Very Important Parents) was born – and when it comes to how we feel about our parents, it is just as true today as it was four years ago when the school began – you are all very important to the staff and students here at CIS!
The VIPs also send out a newsletter with information which is very helpful to our CIS parents. If you are looking for a car, a babysitter, things to do in Khalifa A, or need some help with choosing a doctor or dentist- the VIP newsletter is your source of information. They have recently add their own VIP website as well in order to further support their mandate of “Making a positive difference for our children through volunteering in our school and providing community building opportunities for our CIS families. “ (see website link below)
